A Tale of Two Purimshpiln

If Purim is the favorite holiday of Moldovan Jewry, then the purimshpil is their favorite form of artistic expression. Let us take a moment to compare two purimshpiln, one in Hesed, our beloved community organization for the elderly, and one in Hillel, the Jewish students' club.

First, King Akhashveyrosh, portrayed in Hesed by Anatoly....

and in Hillel by Pasha:
Next we have, Ester haMalke, as played by Valentina, the Hesed choir's leading soloist...

and by Olga Klimina, Hillel's foremost hula-hoopist:

Of course both purimshpiln not only told the story of the holiday, but also taught important Jewish values. For example, Hesed's Mordechai, played by volunteer doctor Yuri, reminded Jews of their obligation to study Torah...
while I, also playing Mordechai, apparently promoted healthy living through tennis:

And lastly, no purimshpil would be complete without the evil presence of Homen haRoshe, portrayed this year by Sveta (look at those delicious ears!!!)...

and Hillel's lovable Stas:
